1 note

A new wound makes all the old ones ache again.

1 note

Ask me why I keep on loving you when it’s clear that you don’t feel the same way for me… The problem is that as much as I can’t force you to love me, I can’t force myself to stop loving you.

Jealousy is simply and clearly the fear that you do not have value. Jealousy scans for evidence to prove the point that others will be preferred and rewarded more than you. There is only one alternative: self-value. If you cannot love yourself, you will not believe that you are loved. You will always think it’s a mistake or luck. Take your eyes off others and turn the scanner within. Find the seeds of your jealousy, clear the old voices and experiences. Put all the energy into building your personal and emotional security. Then you’ll be the one others envy.

There is something beautiful about all scars of whatever nature. A scar means the hurt is over, the wound is closed and healed, done with.

1 note

1 note

There are things that we don’t want to happen but have to accept, things we don’t want to know but have to learn, and people we can’t live without but have to let go.

Sometimes I wish I were a little kid again, skinned knees are easier to fix than broken hearts.

Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it’s better to leave them broken than hurt yourself trying to put it back together.

1 note

Giving up doesn’t always mean you are weak; sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go.
